A STIRRING REMINDER (2016)
I was, again, production designer for A Stirring Reminder. This short film is quite different from other films I've worked on but, is definitely the most fun I've had on a production as is is such a wacky concept.
The story follows Norman. Norman dreams of following in his family footsteps on becoming a killer. However, Norman is not what you think. He is not a man. He is a spoon.
As the film involved several stories in one, I had the task of designing a set for each scenario. The fun came in when choosing a specific look for each spoon to reflect teach of their murders.
Another two aspects which were a lot of fun regarding this project were making fake blood (which I got pretty good at - and it was rather tasty as it was made from golden syrup and treacle) and designing the spoons' family tree. The family tree was probably my favourite part as I was tasked with coming up with how the family links together, I also love to draw and was able to create an ornate design.

A Stirring Reminder won Best Short Comedy at the 2016 SE10 Film Festival.
